Here is something we notice all the time. Someone will have lived in Leisure Village for eight years, know a hundred people by name, walk the same loop every morning — and have been inside maybe four homes besides their own. That is normal. You visit friends, you see their place, and that is about it. Which means most residents have a fairly detailed picture of one floor plan out of twenty-something, and a vague sense of the rest. So we started Tuesday Tours.
The Basics
When: 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month, 11:00am – 1:00pm
Where: Homes throughout Leisure Village — look for our signs or Sign Up Here for Email Updates
Who: Leisure Village residents & their Friends
Cost: Free. No RSVP, no appointment. Drop in.
Before each tour we send an email listing exactly which homes will be open that day.
There will also be signs posted around the community, so you can decide morning-of whether anything looks worth a walk.
The program is ongoing. Twice a month, every month.
Why a Resident Would Actually Want to Come
You already live here. You are not shopping. So what is the point?
Because it is fun. We will start with the honest answer, because everyone knows it already. Walking through other people's houses is enjoyable. You get to be nosy without being nosy. You get to see how somebody else solved the same problems you have, quietly disagree with their choice of paint, admire a bathroom, and be home in time for lunch. There does not have to be a reason beyond that, and for plenty of people there isn't one. It is a good way to spend a Tuesday morning.
That said, a few other things tend to come out of it.
To see the models you have never been inside. Leisure Village has more than twenty floor plans. If you have been in four of them, there is a genuinely surprising amount of variety you have not seen — different light, different flow, different room counts at similar square footage. People come out of these tours saying "I had no idea that layout existed."
To see what is possible with a 1978 home. This is the big one. Every home here was built in the same era with the same bones, and some owners have done remarkable things — opened walls, reworked kitchens, converted dens, redone bathrooms completely. If you have been staring at your own kitchen wondering what could be done with it, walking through a finished version of essentially the same room is worth more than any amount of scrolling online.
To understand what your own home is worth. Not the number on a website. The actual answer, which comes from seeing what comparable homes look like when they are on the market and what condition they are in. Whether you are thinking about selling next spring or in five years, this is the cheapest market research available, and it costs you two hours.
To scout a move within the community. More common than people expect. Residents move inside Leisure Village all the time — to a single-story with no steps at the entry, to a model with a real den, to something smaller, to a spot closer to the rec center. If that is on your mind at all, touring is how you figure out which model you actually want before anything comes up for sale.
To be useful to a friend. Most people who move into Leisure Village heard about it from someone who already lived here. If you have a friend or family member who has mentioned downsizing, bring them. They get through the gate with you, and they get to see the community the way residents see it instead of through listing photos.
What to Expect
These are relaxed. Come as you are, walk through, ask whatever you want, leave when you are done. Nobody is going to follow you around or ask for your phone number at the door.
We will be at the homes and happy to answer questions — about that specific house, about what things are selling for, about the HOA, about what a particular renovation probably cost. If you would rather just look quietly, that is completely fine too.
You are welcome at one home or all of them.
How to Know Which Homes Are Open
Two ways.
Join the email list. Before every tour we send out which homes are open that day, with addresses. It is the easiest way to decide whether a given Tuesday is worth your time.

The list is only used for Tuesday Tours. Name, email, and a phone number if you want text reminders instead.
Or just watch for the signs. We post them throughout the community on tour days. If you are out on your morning walk and see one, come in.
Questions?
If you would rather ask a person than fill out a form, call or text. Happy to talk through anything — what your home might be worth, whether a particular model would suit you better, or what the market is doing here right now. No obligation and no follow-up campaign.
